Jupiter is Estonia’s largest free streaming platform, bringing together ERR’s best TV and radio shows along with top local and international films and series. We built native TV apps for Apple TV, Android TV, Samsung Tizen, and LG webOS so viewers could access everything directly on their smart TVs without the hassle.

Using Flutter, Angular, SwiftUI, Typescript, GitHub, Node.js, SCSS, we built native apps across four TV platforms. Each required different development approaches since they handle navigation and rendering differently. We optimized everything to work smoothly on any TV hardware, from high-end models to basic budget devices that needed special optimization to perform.

The project was our first serious dive into TV app development across multiple platforms. We learned that testing on actual hardware beats simulators every time, as what works perfectly on some TV might crawl on another one.
